Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm, but willing to draw blood in its defense.” – Mark Overby
I am deeply, madly, passionately in love with and swooning from my own latest creation.
Roseblood
For 1 cocktail:
The juice of 1 small blood orange
1.5 oz Tuthilltown Spirit of the Hudson Vodka
1/2 – 1 oz Royal Rose “Rose” Syrup
Shake over ice
Strain into chilled martini glass
Top off with champagne or dry sparkling wine of your choice
Garnish with a rose petal and/or a twist of blood orange
Now, just whisper into your lover’s ear and enjoy.
Enjoy a variation?
Try a Roseblood 75
Substitute St. George Spirits “Botanivore” Gin for the Vodka
OR if you want it a little less sweet (and it isn’t too sweet this way) use culinary rosewater instead of the rose syrup.

Cheers Raelinn!
What a yummy looking cocktail, and the vodka — I want, I want!
Clearly you’ll be our mixologist when we’re on the road.
That is a full-on glass of awesome!
All the best,
Nannette Eaton
Thanks so much Nannette! I can’t wait to drive up the PCH with you and Suzie! We’re gonna have a blast! Maybe I’ll just do a coast to coast wine tour myself! Hmmmmm. I LOVE it! Thinking cap is ON!
