Sitting at Smith & Mills on a glorious, breezy, late NYC summer afternoon, basking in the sun and sipping on Chateau de Rouët 2012 Côtes de Provence rosé. It feels like the the last vestiges of summer. (Big sigh.) Wearing a palette of pale salmon with a faint, tart cherry scent wafting about—on the palate, this wine has round, just-ripe stone fruit and a wisp of acid. It is light and delicious and just perfect for this moment.
